With over $20 million in new capital investments, the Summit Area YMCA continues to develop our Berkeley Heights YMCA and Summit YMCA branches in ways that advance our mission.

SUMMIT YMCA

  • Showcasing the Y’s commitment to fostering community, intentionally designed, open concept gathering, multi-purpose community space and a lobby where everyone feels welcome.
  • Expansion and relocation of the Kid Zone to the first floor – offering free childcare while parents participate in classes and Y activities – will provide parents access to convenient pick up and drop off.​
  • Expanded and modernized wellness floor footprint with room for more strength training and functional fitness spaces with all new, state-of-the-art fitness equipment will ensure our members’ can meet their health and wellness goals.
  • A brand-new lively Teen Center designed specifically for modern day students, needs, and activities will become a destination for more programming and a space for kids to gather in a fun and safe environment.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA

  • The full-sized gymnasium now hosts numerous sports leagues and other programming to promote wellness, recreation, and socialization activities for all ages.
  • The wellness center and studio spaces has allowed us to adapt to current and future fitness trends to keep our community strong and healthy.
  • The brand new outdoor community pool provides a welcoming outdoor environment for all, an additional outdoor atmosphere for our swim team, and a safe place for youth and adult swim lessons.
  • The childcare center provides more options for working parents, affordable and quality childcare for onsite preschool, before and after care and youth enrichment programs.
